2DM Is a management and production agency based in Milan wich represents great creative people in the fashion business such as the stylist Ana Murillas or the photographer Xevy Muntane, who are both habitual colaborators for Metal Magazine. Despite everyone can think about the apparently Italian numbed scene, the new agency project, the “2DMBlogazine” its only a signal of the eagerly awaited awake of a new italian enterprising generation that demands the return of the forgotten italian fashion glory with the benefits of the new technology for the upcoming 2010.

Since the 2DM direction was looking for a new way of communication with their clients they started with this blog on febraury 2009, always writing about what they think avoiding the “cutting and pasting” predominant at must of the tons of blogs and trying to make their own news, “This  is the only way to distinguish ourselves to the rest, usually we talk about things that we think should be interesting for our readers and of course all of the information have to be in line with our aesthetic imagery”. Until now they have been working with a tiny crew including their linked friends, most of them people they met while travelling and in the end they became Kind of real friends in the net. But we must stay tuned because since the blog curated by Vicky Trombetta started, it became  bigger and bigger and from January 2010 we can expect great surprises, maybe this next year will be the year of “Il Ritorno Italiano”, who knows?…

Vicky Trombetta, the head of the blog, is much more than a person behind the screen, if you visit the 2DM  website you will see the amazing and fresh works he does as a photographer for important publications for example such as Rodeo, but of course he is not the only one, he shares virtual space with photgraphers, stylists, illustrators, art directors and a long etcetera… All of them with promising careers and carefully selected by Esmeralda Wagner the 2DM Manager. When I asked  Vicky about the reason of doing a blog and not an paper publication the clearness and faith on future became more than evident, “ The interesting thing about blogs is that you can catch the attention of the people who thinks like you and basically the difference is that web is easier and quicker, but I think the difference in the nearest future will be the possibility to work on animated contents, new technologies will radically change the approach of making information with the power that anybody can talk or write about anything and most of the daily and weekly magazines will disappear in the next few years…”

So, if the future is near we must be ready for the Predominant white Bottom and Times New Roman font at most of the blogs, where the nostalgia-feeling for the traditional newspaper aesthetic will coexist with the legibility and simplicity as the new keys for communication, specially now that fashion is expanding the common sense of see things using arts, design or music to sell what fashion can’t sell anymore by itself.

“Now that fashion is -stealing- the fresh way of creating concepts from other areas I think in the next years we will assist at the mutation of the communication…”
